THE BEGINNING OF TAREEQAH MUHAMMADIYAH
Origins of Tareeqah Muhammadiyah
Hazrat Ali Zain Al-Abideen was Born in the year 38AH, He was the son of Hazrat Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him) who was the son of Hazrat Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Fatimah (May Allah be pleased with her). Hazrat Fatimah (May Allah be pleased with her) was the Daughter of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) therefore Hazrat Ali Zain Al Abideen was the Great Grandson of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu alayhi wasalam).
His Real name was Ali Ibn Al-Hussain who’s title was Zain Al Abideen which means
“The jewel among the devout”
He is from the generation of the Tabieen, which was the first generation to Follow the Prophets Companions. He was present at Karbala and due to his Illness, he was unable to take part, he was mainly sad and often weeping due to the tragedy he had witnessed at Karbala.
He had turned his back towards politics and spent majority of his time in acquiring knowledge and helping others. He would feed the poor, pay of the debt that others were unable to do so and forgive those who were unjust to him. Imam Malik describes him as
“A sea of knowledge”.
All six books of Hadith include traditions reported by him, which suggest that he was considered to be a reliable reporter of Hadith.
Imam Ali Zain Al Abideen died in 94 AH in Madinah and is buried In Jannatul Baqi. May God Shower His blessings on him and may we take benefit from his work.
As we are now aware that this personality was from a very noble household who had a righteous upbringing from birth and had immense knowledge, he was amongst the first people whom wrote down his understanding of the Quran and Hadith. This understanding was not from himself but the Understanding of his Father Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him) who attained it from his Father Ali (Radhi Allahu anhu), who attained it from Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) that was passed to him. This was compiled into a small book known as the Treatise on Rights (Risalat al Huquq)
Mentioned Below are these 50 rights that whomever will fulfil will have a successful life in this world and in the life to come. These teachings are the foundations of Tareeqah Muhammadiyah. One may assume that the current methodology has been created by the Current Teacher Ahmad Dabbagh or the Previous Teacher Hazrat Abdul Aziz Ad Dabbagh but in actual fact these teachings are the original teachings from Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) that have been revived by them. Without a doubt understanding, practicing and fulfilling the below will be difficult however it is possible. To make it easier those who start Tareeqah Muhammadiyah they will go through all of them one by one not alone but with the support of a mentor.
