THE SANAD OF

SHAYKH AHMAD DABBAGH

The Sanad or Spirtual link is the chain of transmission of knowledge from Prophet Muhammad pbuh to the current phyiscally living Teacher of that field. It also proves the authenticity of that specific knowledge.

There are various chains of transmission for different types of subjects such as

  •  Fiqh
  •  Hadeeth
  •  Tazkiyah (purification)

Below diagram is referring to the knowledge of Tareeqah Muhammadiyah. You can see how this knowledge has been passed over generation to generation and has come to the current Teacher Ahmad Dabbagh.

The permission (Ijaza) to teach the specific knowledge is only given to certain students whom the Teacher at that moment believes can practice and teach others. In spirituality these also represent the transfer of spiritual secrets from the first to the next and so on.
